Jigarthanda DoubleX Movie Review
Story:
The thug Allius Caesar (played by Raghavendra Lawrence) dreams of being a film hero. Some discourage him by calling him “dusky.” Caesar, however, is adamant about becoming a hero and asks a few filmmakers to tell him a tale. He is highly impressed by Ray Dason (SJ Suryah), and Caesar selects him to be his director. Caesar’s life narrative, in Ray Dason’s opinion, ought to be adapted into a movie. How did the movie cause Caesar’s life to drastically change? The main idea of the narrative is this.
Positives:
Karthik Subbaraj skillfully utilizes Lawrence’s acting prowess. Jigarthanda Double X fills up the void left by Lawrence’s lack of opportunities to demonstrate his acting abilities thus far. Lawrence did an amazing job portraying a character with two different colors.
Here, the storyline completely changes, with the second part of the film being substantially better. There were some really powerful emotional moments in the final hour, and the pre-climax scenes were masterfully done. A couple of scenes will make viewers cry. The portions in the woods with elephants had amazing graphics.This film shows actor SJ Suryah, who is a treasure, performing to the best of his talents once again. In the second hour, he performed admirably throughout his scenes with Lawrence.
Negatives:
The first hour is devoted to world-building and character introductions, but the most of the sequences are dull. This contains a lot of dragging periods with a fairly slow tempo. Except for a few instances, the first hour is boring. The scene-to-scene changes in the first half could have been done with greater finesse. The film is quite long, and the editing team could have made some parts shorter for more impact. The songs, in especially, are not well done in the Telugu dubbing, which falls short of expectations. Since they hadn’t been seen in a while, a few additional actors, including Shine Tom Chacko, would have been employed more wisely.
